Commercial general contracting

Full responsibility for your build under one contract: subcontractors, supervision, safety, quality and inspections, led by one accountable project lead.

One contract. One team accountable for the result.

As your general contractor, Carlson Construction takes responsibility for delivering the project as drawn, on the agreed schedule and within the contract price. We price the work, procure and manage every trade, run the site day to day and coordinate inspections through to certificate of occupancy.

You work with one project lead who knows the job in detail. Questions get answered, problems are raised early with options attached, and progress is documented in writing every week.

More answers in our FAQs

Who will be our day-to-day contact?

A dedicated project lead manages your job from contract to closeout and is your single point of contact. A superintendent runs the site daily under the project lead's direction.

How are change orders handled?

No changed work proceeds without a written, priced change order approved by you. Each change is logged with its cost and schedule impact so the budget is always current.

How do you select subcontractors?

Trades are prequalified for capacity, licensing, insurance and safety, then invited to bid competitively. We level the bids so you can see how they compare before contracts are awarded.
